Friendship Online, Why Not?

I had a friend far away who constantly email and exchange personal message to our favorite network. Her name is Elba. She married a Taiwanese man and living almost 10 years in Taiwan. She had two beautiful daughters who speak Mandarin fluently than Tagalog, hahaha!

I met my friend Elba through my Friendster network several years ago. At first, I am not aware that she was the sister of Jay, my close buddy during high school days. I thought it was just another pretty but ordinary lady who wants nothing but numerical friends on-line and that’s it. But that common notion proves me wrong when I gave her a try.

I begun to be fascinated by her courtesy on someone who paid a visit on her page. Promptly you’ll find her reply. She is down-to-earth as I was. We give updates about how things had been on our own lives like the country we live in, pleasant, funny or sometimes dramatic things; anything under the sun. We shared common interest like being a mom, a housewife, kiddie tale, shopping and most of all, beauty! What is very particular of Elba is her trendy outfits. We talked about fashion and would love to shop together someday and most of all, looking forward to visit her in Taiwan in the future.

There are times we are busy with our own thing. But what amazes me is that, whenever the two of us initiates a thought of communicating there would be surely a constant response. Shorter or longer gaps of communication we make sure that every email or web page visit is surely worth it. That is how me and Elba had been friends for four years now just because of the on-line technology. Yeah, that is where it took off our friendship! And I’m glad once, it did!
