Gene and Shannon to Wed After 28 Years

After 28 years of unmarried bliss – Gene “The Demon” Simmons (62) the Israeli born KISS bassist/singer/songwriter will wed his Queen “Playboy Playmate”, Shannon Tweed (54) on October 1st at The Beverly Hills Hotel in California.

Gene popped the question during a holiday in Belize. It was reported that he said to his bride to be:

“I come with so much baggage, but you’re the only friend I’ve got. You’re the only one I love…and you’re the only one I ever will love.” Shannon dissolved into tears before answering yes.

The grand wedding, which is set to be an elaborate affair, will happen just three days before the 7th season of the hugely popular television show “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” which will follow the couple and their two gorgeous children Nick (22) and Sophie (19) while they make preparations for the big day.

Some would argue why bother after being together for so long? And certainly, Gene never hid the fact that he was totally against the whole idea of marriage for all of those years.

Being an extremely shrewd and successful business man Gene will certainly find a way to turn the whole event into a money making venture.
