...and he got angry that I didn't tell him ahead of time that I was going to visit friends that night; well, he broke up with me last October without even telling me; I found out through a friend that he had been referring to me as his ex to his friends and to other women. Well, if I've been his ex for the past 4 months, I don't need to tell him my plans. Anyway, long story short, a lot of our problems probably would not have even occurred to begin with if it wasn't for our sole source of communication being texting. I've tried to address this issue face-to-face with him as well as through text and email time and again, and it always falls back into the rut of texting, so I'm tired of trying to tell him this.

My ex told me he hated texting and didn't want a relationship based on texts, so I made an effort to answer my phone and call more, and half the time, he still wouldn't answer, would have his phone off or let it go right to voicemail. So then he used pretty much only text to communicate with me and used it to say things that he couldn't say to my face (convenient for him, I suppose), like when I almost got killed over the weekend when an actual tree split in half and fell on top of me as I was walking by it while visiting some friends; instead of asking if I was okay and hearing me tell him that I had a concussion, he got angry that I didn't come to see him that night (um....it snowed, my car battery died, my head hurt really bad, and I would have had to walk to his neighborhood miles away from where I was; plus he told me earlier that there wasn't parking in his neighborhood because of the snow), and so then he said he was going to forget about me and told me to "f*ck off"....all through text, and If he had just called me, he would have known the details and not jumped to conclusions. In a 1-month period of time, he's gotten better about other things but has cussed at me through text AND in person about 4-5 times, all over things that he jumped to conclusions about and didn't take the time to hear the details about first.

my girlfriend texts me back even if I call her. her phone goes to answerphone 9 times out of 10, i leave a message and the reply is nearly always a text. I hate it, sometimes I wish she would just dial, say i love you and hang up rather than long excuses as to why she is texting back. She has a busy time at work, but has the art of conversation died. It means so much more to hear her voice and I have told her that but still i get a text back. I am now thinking about giving up even trying to chat during the day, as the whole thing is making me upset.

texting made a lot of alibis and lies...
if u are about to meet someone.. d best thing to do not to meet up that someone is just to give him/her a text message that you've go an emergency... presto!

text messaging somehow is helpful for those who are just comfortable with it.. and thinks it sucks if they want a more personal touch with the one they love and cared for.

My husband is foreman for a road construction crew and can't always get to his phone. I work in a bank and frequently have customers and am not albe to answer. We send little messages throughout the day to let the other know we are thinking of them. I hate seeing one missed call on my phone, but if its followed by a "love note" via text it is still like receiving the call. I think that if used correctly, love texts during a work day are great at strengthening a relationship.
