Holiday Romance – Finding That Special Someone

While the holidays are a tough time to be alone, it is a great time to improve your interactions with the opposite sex.  December is a time of parties, open houses and genuine frolicking that can be utilized as a time to improve the “hunting”.  Go to venues where you enjoy the events planned, this way you will be putting yourself in a group that enjoy some of the things you do.

Take the time to dress and create a sense of confidence before attending the party.  Put on your best shoes, sweater, cologne to increase your attractiveness to that alusive mate.  If your current set of friends are not yielding new conquests, stretch your wings and attend events that were not previously part of your social season.  Ask a friend in a similar situation to attend with you.  This will make you more secure and feel more confidant. 

Make eye contact with peers when they approach or when you approach them.  Become a listener first and pay attention to the details of the conversation.  Look for people that make you feel comfortable when interacting.  This will not only build your confidence, but you may add some friendships along the way. Take the time to approach others that may be outside your usual “type”.  You will help build their confidence and my find a diamond in the rough.
