How Long Should You Wait for a Partner?

I’ve wrote some articles about love and romantical relationships. While I do not agree with lifetime relationships, I believe in lifetime love, but maybe not with the same person all the time, maybe two or more at the same time sometimes for a change (this is not related to sex only).

First thing is the courting stage. This was true in the medieval ages, now you do not have to wait a single second for a partner to become interested in you. Take the example of that special person you think of all the time. You just get an invitation and you need all your free will to stop you from going, not from making you go to the rendezvous. This means, once you send the invitation wait only the the partner to read it, after that the final decision is made in a second… and forever!

Those who are not interested in you like you are in them, just skip them all. Imagine if the entire world was interested in you… that would be awful, you could not cross the street without those look only pointed at you. You do not like the entire world, maybe you like one person or two from the ENTIRE world you’ve met so far, so why even bother with those who cannot love more than one person at the same time?

To those who are interested the game rules change a little bit. Never make that person the most important thing of your life. This part is saved only for… YOU! YOU, YOUR interests, YOUR hobbies, YOUR computer, YOUR MONEY, YOUR books, YOUR Bicycle and so on. That person was very well before you were born and will be just fine long after you are gone, so never make it a top priority, never. The most successful people in dating are those with kids they care so much for. When they go for a date, they always have someone that care more (some exceptions too) so they always act like they would never be that hurt if the whole thing ended suddenly.

In friendships the same thing is true. Those friends you want to be with most of the time might say no and even go out with other people, but once you finish them, they will never stop calling and emailing you. Sad? Maybe, it’s the way of the world.

If you do not have a son or a daughter you might have good plans or a good business or even a debt so big you have always something more important than the partner. This is not being mean or half hearted, it’s just the way of the world based on my young experience, and I am sure you have your long experiences.
