How Reunions Can Bring About Healing

When you are separated from someone close to you or someone you love, you tend to long for them each day. Reunions can have many emotions attached into them.

There are only two outcomes during a family reunion, it can either be a time of healing and freedom for family members or it can be a disappointing disaster. However, the most highlighted part of a family reunion could be the closure of the years before the separation.

There are numerous people in our planet searching for long lost love ones, birth relatives or finding parents. Separation could count to many years and will even last a lifetime to some. Imagine the pain and anguish one will feel not knowing or being separated from a family or loved one. Therefore, during the reunion, some feelings erupt and many are surprised to feel the way they have during that time. Many times the reunited parties will have a surprising reaction, as it could either be a feeling of deep happiness, dismay and surprise to learn the outcome of the reunion.

When you are searching for a long lost loved one or a family, take away your high expectations. Expectations such as hope and having a lot of faith that things could not go wrong is okay but add open-mindedness to it and surely, you will not be hurt. Always take note that if the separation takes years, there might be many things that may be different now compared to before the separation took place. This is very evident when living from far away or in different cultures. There is always joy in the presence of a reunion but do not expect to have the reunited person to perfectly fit back to your life so sudden. Remember no matter how close or how remarkable the relationship was before, after the reunion, the process would have to start all over again. Trust and familiarity will start from ground zero and not for it to continue just then and there. The new rejuvenated relationship must be reborn and this may take time. Patience is the key for the rebirth of the relationship to prosper.

The best part of a reunion is the filling of the gap, the lost part is found and the void or emptiness one has been longing for to be filled up is now filled up and ready to start anew again. Happy reunion!
