In today’s world, it is very important to know someone’s character well in advance as mistakes have no room in this world. The life of today is so fast that one small mistake can land up person many ladders down his career.

So, to prevent this possibility it is very important that we know the character of person well in advance.

There are two options to know person:

1. Go by reference i.e. ask someone else to know the behavior of the target person. But, this can be quite risky.
2. The other option to assess the person is by getting yourself involved with him/her. But, then who has the time to assess each and every person. Since, you need minimum 2-3 meeting to completely understand the person.

So, keeping all the above problems in mind, I devised a method in which one can know the character of a person by simply asking one question. This method might not be novel. But, there was no one to tell me this method and I developed this method on the basis of my experience.

The procedure you have to follow is as follows:

First give them the following or similar situation.

Suppose you are more intelligent than your friend and always score more than your friend. Now, you both appear for some very crucial exam (like board exam) and he scores far better than you.

Then, which of the following question will you ask yourself:

1. How could he reach there?
2. How could I reach there?

Now, if person answers the first option then that means that the person is jealous. He is not competing in good spirit. He cannot become a good friend. Since, he is busier in shortening the line of his friend rather than elongating his own line.

But, if person chooses the second option then it implies that he competitive and is not jealous. This means that the person will aim higher in his life and will compete in true spirit. He is the person who will carry you along with him when he reaches top.

So, now, I have given my method. Now, it’s up to you of how you make use of this method.
