How to Make Her Happy with Poetry

There are so many romantic things a guy can do to show his girl that he loves her. Many guys buy flowers and candy. Others search far and wide for something special for her, like a vintage edition of her favorite book or something like that. One of the most romantic thing a guy could do is write a poem. I can almost hear the groaning and moaning from the men out there. “A poem. Are you insane woman!” I know it’s hard to write a poem and be expressive in one, but even the simple thought and attempt can go such a long way.

It doesn’t take a lot to write a simple poem for that special someone in your life. Just find a place and time when you will not be disturbed listen to some soft romantic music to help you think about what you love about this person. Write anything you can think of as to why you love this person. Then try to think about how you feel when they are around you or even when they aren’t. Talk about hopes and dreams you have while you are with them. This sets the stage for what you can involve in the poem. This step is brainstorming, but writing it all down in paragraph form is prose. You may give the person that as is like a small love letter of sorts.

The next step is taking your thoughts and making them into a sweet poem. Pull out certain feelings and write them down on a separate paper. Poetry does not have to rhyme, just have a certain flow to it. Think of which feelings and thoughts would go together for a stanza or even the general theme of the poem, like how you want to protect her or what you think of when you’re near her (don’t make it naughty unless you’ve been in the relationship for years and it’s not for a special occasion like her birthday or something).

Read through what you have written, if you want to add stuff in go a head, it you want places for her reading to pause put in a semi colon or comma. Then decide on how you want to give it to her. You can read it to hear so she can hear it from your voice. You can write it out nice and neat for her to read and slip it in her bag to find during the day. Or on a special occasion slip it into a card so she would find it when she opened the card.

Writing a poem can be hard to write, but working hard for pays off. It shows you care enough to try and do something special and it’s from the heart. No one else can give her something from your heart. Good luck and happy writing.
