How to Make Your First Date Fun and Exciting

by Nacika in Relationships, August 10, 2009

Exciting ideas for your first date! Stand out from the crowd and make an impression that lasts.

So you’ve made a good first impression, you’ve got the phone number and you’re itching the dial those digits and get the ball rolling.

Before you make the call I have some crucial advice that you must read:

DO NOT COME ACROSS AS BORING.

The first date can reflect the type of person you are! It’s such a great way to show your new guy or gal what you’re interested in and what a fun and exciting boyfriend or girlfriend you can be!

Why not ask her to go rock-climbing? Let her see that you aren’t a couch potato, that you’re adventurous and most importantly; you can spend the date laughing at each other if you’re bad at it or you can come to her rescue if she’s scared of heights.

or…

Take him to see that cool art exhibition you’ve wanted to see for awhile and spend the date talking about postmodern art. What a great way to show off the otherwise useless knowledge you learnt in college! Impress him with your ideas and even better, find out if he’s got a brain rattling about in that gorgeous head.

Great cook?
Why not fill your picnic basket with delicious food that will have her wanting you to make her breakfast in bed! Show her your passion for food and spend your date watching cloud shapes and throwing grapes down her top.

There are heaps of really cool date ideas that you can come up with that reflect who you are as a person. Even if your first date doesn’t lead to a second, it’ll be a really fun day to remember and you’ll soon have the reputation as a really great and fun date.

Some other ideas include: the aquarium, a sporting match, a pottery class, a playground or even your local library.

The most important thing is to make sure you’re doing something that you find enjoyable, think of your date as a gift and a way to let this person into your world a little bit.

Happy dating!
