In this day and age, long-distance relationships are happening more and more frequently. The trigger for these love stories is often the internet. People in the 21st century have their eyes everywhere in the world and are not afraid to link themselves with others on an international scale. Social networking is the perfect platform for that. It usually doesn’t take very long until feelings or personal stories are shared, which is a big step towards establishing that aforementioned link.

Thankfully, in the online age we don’t have to worry too much about how expensive phone calls are. We can simply leave messages, type for hours, or even see each other via webcam. What is expensive, however, is travelling. Cars, trains, or planes can be really expensive, especially for young long-distance lovers. Usually there are ways to cut a lot of costs. Make sure you explore all opportunities when it comes to transport. 

But it isn’t all negative. Long-distance relationship can be the ultimate test for true lovers and provide a very strong base for a successful relationship. It is important to take the mentioned factors into consideration and, maybe most importantly, be patient and trust each other.
