How to Spot a Cheating Partner or Spouse

Suspicious Phone Calls

If your partner/spouse gets a call on his/her cellular phone and leaves the room or goes outside to talk, this may be a pretty good indication that they don’t want you to know who they are talking too.  If you try to press for details after the call has ended, they may get defensive or try to change the subject.

Guards Their Cellular Phone

If your partner/spouse guards their cellular phone from you excessively, this may be a good indication that they have been making or receiving calls that they don’t want you to know about.

Goes Through Your Belongings

Someone who cheats might assume that you are doing the same thing. If your partner/spouse goes through your wallet or purse, your cellular phone call list, your bank records, your emails, etc., be suspicious. Maybe you have a good reason to go through theirs, too.

Makes Excuses to Stay the Night With Friends

Your significant other may want time away from you to take part  in a secret rendezvous.  As with the phone calls, you may get a defensive response when you press for more details.

You are Encouraged by Your Partner/Spouse to Take out of Town Business Trips

Most couples want to spend more time together. When your other half encourages you to take solo trips, or trips with just your friends, this should throw up flags of caution that something may be wrong. They may be trying to get you out of the picture for a few days.

When Your Partner/Spouse No Longer Wants to Talk

You might realize something is wrong when even small talk, let alone intimate conversation, is strained. This in itself is not proof of cheating, but  combined with other suspicious actions this is a good indicator that something is up.

Coming Home Later Than Usual From Work

Again this alone is not proof of cheating, but combined with other strange happenings this may be the cherry on the cake.  

Strained Relationships with Mutual Friends

Your friends may know that your other half has been cheating before you do, hence they may be uncomfortable talking to you. If they are closer to you than they are your other half, you may be able to get them to confess what is going on. Be extremely careful, though. You could loose friendships very easily.

Major Purchases

Beware when your partner/spouse wants to make a major purchase (a car, for example) without you. They may want something in their name only, so that they can make a cleaner break from you when the time comes.

Money Issues

If there is something going on your spouse may stop depositing money into your joint bank account. They still may pay the bills, but they may not want you to know what else they are spending money on. They may also be trying to put aside a nest egg for future plans without you.
