How to Stay Married
Adjust your attitude and you will be able to stay married and maybe get along better with everyone.
Drop this ridiculous “being offended” habit. Treat every situation as an unknown; because you don’t really know what will happen, you are simply assuming the negative will occur and, therefore, you are choosing it. What would happen if you decided to choose a positive outcome? A positive outcome would occur; its a no-brainer. You would choose for the encounter to be positive and, therefore, it would be positive. The world is not conspiring against you. The world is giving you exactly what you are asking for every time you ask! When you say I’m not going to find a parking spot, you probably will not find one. If you choose to find one you probably will. Your spouse may say something to you that gets under your skin, but it doesn’t bother anyone else; only you. Why? Because you are choosing it to. When you judge someone you are doing absolutely nothing except annoying yourself and defining yourself as someone who needs to judge; that’s it. Judgement does absolutely nothing except stroke your own self righteous ego to allow your mind to be continually pissed off at someone or something that doesn’t exit!
So, to stay married stop judging, stop labelling, stop complaining and stop being offended. Just look at everything the other way around. Choose differently. “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
