Although many would claim we are surrounded by images of lovely ladies mad for sex day and night, it seems in reality most chaps aren’t really experiencing any more of it than they used to in the olden days, when women preferred to keep their clothes on in public.

So what’s going wrong? According to the media, women have never been so ”up for it” as they are now…and yet the image of some fantastic sexual free-for-all doesn’t exactly seem to translate into day to day life.

It’s true that women aren’t easily pleased, but with the right techniques men really can have their dates purring with pleasure and wanting more; in bed, and in all areas of their relationship.

Before a Date

The build up is almost as important as the actual date – flirting with texts and emails, for example, and just getting to know each other a bit better beforehand. So when you finally meet up she’s feeling comfortable and a more than a bit curious about where the night will lead. Are you as good as your pre-date flirting suggests?

On a Date

If you want to get further with your date than a kiss on her doorstep at midnight, the date itself is crucial for setting the scene. Don’t take her to some fancy posh place, but somewhere you will both be comfortable, with low lighting to add to the mood.

If eating out, aim for a corner table rather than somewhere in the middle, where she will feel on show and won’t be able to relax.

Avoid ordering drink after drink – or bottle after bottle – as she will suspect you’re trying to get her drunk and it will cheapen the experience for her. Your date needs to feel special to get in the mood. Share a dessert to deepen feelings of intimacy.

Don’t try to make every thing too perfect or corny, because it will make her tense and liable to panic.

Foreplay

Remember it’s called play for a reason, not work! Kissing and massaging, using oils, games with food, and using your sense of humour to relax and get her in the mood will all get you closer to her. Know a foreign language? Tease her with it and watch the temperature rise, as will saucy talk about what you want to do later – women love the build up. Take your time and the end result will be so much more worth waiting for.
