In Love with Love Itself?
Are you in love with the concept of being in love?
Do you find yourself thinking about the one you love such as a girlfriend, boyfriend, husband, or wife quite often?
What about, do you think about being with them and talking with them?
If you find yourself thinking about those things, congratulations! Your in love with someone!
Keyword in that statement is “SOMEONE”.
Do you find yourself thinking about how much you love someone?
Do you think about how awesome it is to love the person you love?
Do you think about how the person you love can’t possibly hold all the love you have to give?
Do you love the fact that you are in love?
Think about those questions.
Are you in love with a person or love itself?
Do yourself a favor and your partner a favor and make sure that you love the person you are with and not the fact that you are loving someone.
If you are happy just because you love someone, then you need to think about that relationship.
For those of us who have read Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” or “What You Will” remember Duke Orsino’s love for Olivia. His “romantic idealistic” love. A love that is unattainable because of some obstacle. His love of Olivia was very excessive; talking much about how much he loves her and how no woman could possible hold all of his love. Also, he says he loses focus thinking about loving Olivia. He is kind of obsessed with the idea of being in love. He and Olivia think that one must suffer for love and to love means to suffer.
