Is It a Good Idea to be Friends with Someone After Breaking Up with Them?
When a romantic relationship has ended, one of the things you may miss the most is the friendship you share with your ex-partner. This is only natural as you ex may be the only one who knew you as well as you knew your self during the relationship. If it happened to be a long term relationship, then chances are you both shared many important life events. Maintaining a friendship after a breakup can be difficult, but if it is manageable to you, it can also be very rewarding.
Sometimes, an extra push is required for us to feel little better during the healing process after a relationship ends. If you are concerned about being stuck with the details, being lonely or you just require that extra push, then you can consult this list for different ways in which you can regain your happiness and self esteem, jot down the ones you prefer, an place the list in an easy to reach spot, for future reference. This will help you to feel better.

Comfort Foods
Many of you already know that certain types of foods are perceived to make you feel better. Have you ever had a fruit or a food item for that specific purpose? Try to be happy by eating foods you think will make you feel better.
Listen To Music
This is known as musicians’ favorite topic. Many songs were written and performed specifically to help those who suffered loss. Burn your own breakup songs onto discs, and create an album with the name “Breakup Music” Try to use tunes which help you to feel enlightened, strong and free.
Watch Movies
It does not seriously matter what your choice in movies are, whether general comedy, or breakup comedy, try to find one with a script that will enable you to laugh a lot.
Showering
This is one of my favorites, it does not matter what causes me to be unhappy, after a long hot shower, I usually fell a lot better. Sometimes a bath will also suffice for those persons who love to get a good long soak, or another favorite is to go to the local pool and soak in their hot tub.
Try writing in a Journal
If you are a purist who would prefer to use paper, or more technology savvy, and like to post your journals online? Whichever you happen to be, then writing out your issues is usually a great way to unload your problems, and feel better. Always ensure that your thoughts are privately stored, so you will not feel the need to restrict yourself.
Take a walk
This is a cheap and easy alternative, with no restrictions on when and where you do it. Walking makes your blood course through your veins, your brain work (this happens many times when walking, as it allows you to meditate) and your heart race. Walking with your friends and discussing what is on your mind is also an option, as well as exploring a new hiking trail, or finding a labyrinth where you can walk for a quiet, uplifting experience.
Learn to beat a drum
Major studies have revealed that drumming assists in the relaxation process, it also enables us to soothe our sorrows and feel revived. It is also beneficial in treating a myriad of physical ailments.
