Is It Better to Have Loved and Lost Than to Have Never Loved at All?
Marriage Psychology, relationships, love.
Is it really better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all? Love is the greatest feeling a heart and soul can ever experience and feel in their entire lives, whether it’s the love of a spouse or the awesome love for a child or the love of a special talent or the love of a pet, etc. Oh, I would much rather have had love than to have never loved at all. It would be terrible to have never known love because it ripens the heart and the soul and opens man-kinds reason for living.
Love fills the heart with happiness, joy, sadness, good feeling, security, closeness, bad feelings, etc. You might say, “Then why is love so marvelous when I see those words, sadness, bad feelings, in the sentence saying, “Love fills the heart…etc?” It’s because love doesn’t always run smooth, love suffers trials and tribulations in life too but with love we are capable to rid ourselves of anything that gets in our ways. It keeps us strong willed and gives us a reason to never give up.
When we are in love and/or have something we love, it keeps us desiring to keep that love alive and to respond appropriately to that person/thing that won our hearts. Love fills a vacancy that man-kind lives with everyday and it keeps us interested in life and in our journey in this life. Love may hurt at times, but the warmness of a child looking up into our eyes, a touch, a kiss, a satisfaction, a caress from a pet, or praise for a talent we love to display…all of these cause an elation in our hearts and fills us with pride and care.
When we have love in our lives, we can succumb to many problems, sickness, and daily threats we face on a day to day basis. Love nurtures our minds and fills it with positive feelings. Love allows us to know we belong to someone or something…it’s secured by knowing we belong to someone or something that feels us to our brims.
Love is faithful, true, and it will survive when everything else fails us in life. It brings with it, security, promise, connection, support, desires, gets us through failures, keeps us dreaming, never let’s us down, gives us a will, etc. I believe love is the main ingredient in life and without it we are miserable people and living in a life of sheer hell.
