Is Marriage Just for Christmas, or for Life?

Is marriage something that is supposed to last forever in today’s society?

So how many people think I’m bitter and twisted? I’ve read, see and heard so many different opinions on love and being happy for life.

Maybe losing a marriage and gaining a friend would make us happy for life, after all no marriage no pressure right?

There seems to be a high statistic of people getting divorced now and with financial pressure and that ever ticking biological clock, it’s not surprising our marriages fail. I believe we should love each other endlessly and be forever forgiving and when we marry it should be for life, but for some reason, “life” gets in the way.

Marriages break up for many reasons to which we may or may not be at fault for, but after the initial pain and being scared you’re on your own or back on the shelf, it doesn’t seem that bad!

Hasn’t it been said that it is better to have loved and lost? And for once I agree we get married for a reason and we get divorced for a reason but we spend so much time trying to better things for ourselves and families we often forget the ones we love are sometimes fading into the background.

This Christmas remember your marriage is for life and things are never as bad as they may seem and your partner is not just a gift on a day when families and loved ones should be together, but instead a solid part of a great team forever!

Marriages, in fact relationships in general need work I guess. I think life only gets in the way if you let it. AFter all things like work, eating and cleaning need to be done. Just have to find a way to get through them together.
