Is Polygamy Good for Women?
Polygamy is not beneficial to most women.
How is Polygamy beneficial for women?
In conservative Islamic communities it is been allowed for Muslim men to marry single women, not necessarily who are virgins and are young.
While Malaysian men prefer young virgin girls for their additional wives. A new suggestion for these cultures,
Polygamy in some cultures is not allowed, it is of some level accepted in many cultures. The male animals monopolize the female animals, the three reasons for this, there may not be much of male adults, the male genes are better than others, and, females get on if their male defends their territory. Why do you think humans choose polygamy? It could be for the same reasons.
Of the over thirty countries where polygamy is practiced they had found reasons, the increase of polygamy because of there being not many males, diseases were another issue, it also played a part of wealth.
It seems like polygamy is practiced in under developed countries, and in developed countries, well, life is different, much more of a high lifestyle and the expensive life doesn’t give men a chance of supporting too many families.
Even though Polygamy has been practiced for thousands of years, it is now undermining women’s feelings. For women to be treated this way, it is now being addressed as discrimination.

Of course the mirror image setup is also possible: polyandry, where a woman sets up home with several men.

Oh, and in most western countries, polygamy and polyandry and illegal. Only the first wife or first husband would count as married partners, the others as unmarried partners. The lack of legal recognition for second and subsequent partners puts off even those who would be open to the idea.

I can’t understand why any man would want more than one wife.

It depends on every person’s personal belief and way of living.

People are attracted to so many other people almost at the same time even while being in love with another. I agree, good points made here and interesting article!

Hmm…this serves as eye opener. I think these things happen when people lose their core values that should start at home.

If women are less accepting of it, it will become less of the norm over time in countries which currently practise it.
