It’s Not Mine

Theres a saying in tamil “oruvan nongu seevuvanam mathoruvan athai sapiduvanam”, translation one works and the other takes the credit for it.

How it emerged.
The saying emerged when two people back ind the days were working togeather in a cocunut forest cutting down the old one for the plantation of new ones. And one of them was very lazy and didnt do much and the other done the work of both of them since they were brothers and they had to stick togeather to survive and one day during work the working one found a bunch of the cocunuts that had not been harvested and decided to take them for hmself and so he cut them down and prepared them for later and went back to work and when the lazy one woke up he ate them all withiut thinking of his brother and when he came back he was furious that he didnt have any but to make matters worse the cocunts that were left there was left there by the pwner of the forest and he was’nt very happy and he enquired as to whom the culprit was. The working one caring for his brother dnied knwing anything about it and the lazy one was also questioned and he pointed the finger at the working one and he had to pay for it by loosing one days pay for lying and also had to but the owner some cocunuts. The furious brother then lft to work on his own and the lazy one being lazy couldint afford a days meal for his lazyness and was forced to live on alms as his brother had abandoned him for dishonesty and betryal. and he went on to beacome the pwner of that very same cocunut plantation.

Modern version.
There was a guy and a girl and another guy. The 1st guy was releated to the other and so was the girl, this is from rural India, and the girl had a thing for the 1st guy and asked help form the second guy hnd offerd to do so, but he had an agenda of his own, he wanted her, the 1st guy had no intrest in her atall and the 1nd guy said get pregnat and blackmail the other but as to how it was unclear, so he offerd to HELP her out of comapssion, if you belive that, and so the girl said he was the father when infact he had never tuched her in all his life and has no plans to do so either and when the accusations started to fly all over the place he decied that he should find out whom the child belongs to so he offerd to the girls family a DNA test and so they all set off on their horse drawn carriage to town hospital to get tested. When the 2nd guy realised that he will be screwed he decied to blame it all on the girl and so when the family found out he was the father from the test he was forced to marry the girl and the 1st one was able to walk away freely and beath a sigh of relife.
