Just Married
A reality check on marriage.
No one ever tells you that you just may not be marriage material. Then again most people try not to be rude. When your a child your parents always start a lesson in life by telling you, “when you grow up and get married and have children.” Have you notice they don’t start off by saying, “when you grow up and alone with no children.” In my opinion they sugar coat reality (because that is some peoples sad truth). The truth is only a select few get married, less than that stay married and almost nobody is happy. But when someone is purposing or getting purposed to they throw logic out of the window. You know, you may have children out of wedlock, you may never meet your soulmate. If you do get married what was the real reason you got married.
I mean was it truly for love, or was it because your new spouse is wealthy (or has potential). The truth is that you may just be scared to die alone. But I’m not a horrible person who hates married people, love, and believes there’s no such thing as soul mates. But I am scared of love dying a horrible death. I am terrified of the rising divorce rates. And what if your spouse is not your soul mate. But I have to have faith in everything good, because I do love and cherish the man I just married.
