Love Choices

I recently read an article talking about how Love is not a feeling it is a choice and I had to disagree with the writer because I believe Love is a feeling, it is something we all possess good or bad. I do believe there are different types of love, and that we learn to love, for example, the love between a mother and child, a mother gets pregnant and carries this baby around for month’s and learns to love this child because it is part of her.

A new born child learns to love it’s mother because it is reliant upon her . Nobody just says I am going to love this person just because I choose to. Or do they? Even though I am a firm believer that you can convince yourself of something being true if you keep telling yourself it is going to happen. Like the girl who never had nothing who meets the guy with everything , he could be a jerk but she will put up with more of his B.S. than she would a guy on an equal status, now to me that’s a choice, she might even tell him she loves him for fear that he might one day leave but as soon as he falls off and can no longer sustain the lifestyle that she has grown accustomed to she is out! Now someone who is in love with you will stand behind you through thick and thin for rich or for poor in sickness and in health. But there is an old saying, “when the money gets low the funny will show” It is hard for a woman to go back in lifestyle, like my momma used to say “I can do bad all by myself” no women who has tasted the sweet nectar of success can settle for anything less. But it is different for men when we see something we like we go get it we cater to their needs, we make them laugh and smile we show them things they never seen before, we make everyday like Christmas until we get you, and then we flip the script and act like we don’t care anymore and make it all about us( just kidding). I know a lot of you just read that and laughed . Look all I am trying to say is love is something that can blossom if it is watered with God and happiness. It is a shame that some people use money as the catalyst for their choices but that’s the world we live in.
