Of course every emotion can be traced to a chemical reaction in the brain, making you feel and act a certain way because of it. Love really can’t be any exception and there’s always science to tell us what is what.

Obsession

Love is an addiction, an obsession, a craving and a withdrawal. Love is like a drug that you just can’t flush out of your system with any detox diet. You can’t kick the habit and don’t want to. When it’s not there you’re craving it and when you’ve got it you’re flying high.

Unconditional

No one knows why you love but you do and when you do there’s no reason or logic behind it. Nothing creates love and nothing destroys love it’s just there and it’s not going anywhere. Love isn’t a contract or an agreement and love doesn’t even need two people. Love happens whether you want it to or not and you can’t control love even in the slightest way.

Acceptance

There’s no such thing as an imperfection in love. Every fault or flaw and bad habit does nothing to dissuade love. You don’t love in spite of all those things that make them less than a romance novel dream of perfection but you love because of all those little things. Love is accepting and loving everything by virtue of them just being there.

Unconquerable

You can lie through your teeth and you can turn the other way but nothing can ever put a stop to love. True love is not a hurdle to be jumped or even a mountain to be climbed. Love is an immeasurable and immovable wall that you’ve got no choice but to sit down and rest against. The good news is that love is a wall made out of pillows and once you’re there with love you never want to leave.

Easy

Love is not a battlefield or a war or even a game of checkers. Love exists and it is there above all things in importance and in power. Love requires no thought and no effort because love is simple and when you’re in love you need no other reason than love to be content.

Is

Whatever love is and how ever you try to define it, the simple truth is that love just is. What more do you need? Don’t get hung up on trying to explain it and start enjoying it. The world can be a beautiful place and there’s not a second of it that you shouldn’t be living and shouldn’t be loving.
