Love: Madness?
On the inexplicable feeling of love.
Some individuals just set our heads rolling, and we never stop to ponder the next move, for we just love them, we love to see them every minute of the day, talk to them and reveal all the secrets that have been buried in our hearts for eternity all in the name of love. Is it feeling or madness? I believe in true love, the feeling is just magical, but then it borders on madness, or doesn’t it?
What would make us want to live with a stranger we have just met and exchanged pleasantries for eternity? What would make us so happy when they just smile at us? Why would we sing in amazement at this realization and lose sleep day and night? Why would we suddenly shut out all friends and want to be with our loved ones suddenly? Its love that I am talking about but it sounds so much like a description of madness. It makes our heads reel, and our thoughts scattered, it makes our bodies energetic and yet suspends any need for food while in our lover’s arms. We behave strangely at times, all in the name of love. It has transformed even the most wicked of all, and humbled the strongest of kings and emperors. For love we have stolen, for this feeling we have killed, yet there seems to be neither antidote nor a cure for the destruction it leaves it its trail. Love is madness, very sweet madness!

I don’t think you are describing love – I think infatuation is more like it. Love is developed over time. It involves committment, sacrifice, and perseverance. Love is a verb. Twenty years of marriage has taught me the difference.

It does sound like madness. Love sounds like a bit of a crack up. I guess this article is about infactuation. I’ve never been “in love” but there are those that I have cared for deeply. I like that describtion better-Cared for deeply.
