Marriage
The circumstances under which Revathi was given away in marriage could be at best known "a marriage of convenience".
This type of marriage was only the beginning of a trend. For some the consequences of such a marriage were rewarding and for others a disaster without a remedy.
Revathi did get married and saved from falling from the grace of the world to which she belonged but was she able to live happily ever after can not be told.
God alone must be having an account of how many more marriages all over the country were ceremonised in this manner? The circumstances were not only unfavourable for the girls but for their parents too. That was a samaj (society) where the moral value counted more than the call of the time.
At the end of it all, a question remains unanswered. Was it destiny, fate or beyond the control of an individual that played its role? Other wise how do we explain the marriage of Revathi taking place under a” banyan tree” as against the grandeur of a marriage ceremony normally performed? It is in some way a lesson for many to learn that life does not end with nothing going the way one wanted to but think of the power that be and who knows God made one the way he, she or you are? Think sincerely, what would have become of us if all your wishes were to be full filled? Therefore let us all join hands to thank God for doing what He did for Revathi and HE continues do for us.
