Men and Women 5: You are Really Happy?

When I was still a schoolgirl, I could never grasp why they say: “We are so happy just because we love each other, that’s all”. I wondered if it isn’t too boring to “be happy” doing nothing special, nothing exciting beside being together.
Now I’m lucky to have realised that. I’d better give a couple of examples to illustrate my point.
You are fond of, say, beach-volley , and one of your acquaintances invites you for a game on a weekend to make a set. No doubt you’ll be willing to join in and will most likely have a great day-off. You enjoy yourself because you simply like the activity and the atmosphere.
In other words, we can get thrill and excitement being in good company providing there is something common between people. Thus common interests and preferences can only become the basis of further more close relationships, rather than the essence of them.
Now I occasionally ask myself why I can watch (and sincerely enjoy!) hateful cartoons which my honey is so keen on? Why do I start a conversation by mentioning a new make of car rather than a brand-new dress my collegue bought? I guess not because I’m so interested in the special options of the right front wheel…
So, my dear sweethearts! Don’t seek happiness outside the world of you two, since it will never be as strong as yours…
Yeah, you might feel depressed and gloomy even if you know perfectly well that you are loved and loving. That’s a great paradox of human nature, isn’t it? I have to admit I tend to experience that now and then, but eventually Love saves me when He silently hugs and kisses me at the end of a hard working day. That is more than enough to revive and ispire me, believe it or not!
I’m pretty sure you feel the same…
