One Night Stand vs.. Sensual Time with Someone Special?

Nowadays, the usual abstinence, purity and discipline when it comes to sex do not take place anymore. More and more people are engaging in a more open relationship or agreement and gradually accepting the easy ways to sex. Thus, the waiting until marriage sounds too cheesy and counting numbers of sexual partners is cool. While there are still people who wants to continue the heritage of sharing this special moment to someone special and having sex with strangers can vomit their intestines out.  The question is what do men and women prefer when it comes to sex – one night stand or sensual time with someone special?

I interviewed a colleague in his 20’s at work whom I know is sexually active and he preferred an easy one night stand to avoid the neediness and demands of having a girlfriend. According to him it is the negative aspect and too much drama of having a relationship he wants to avoid. Why would he spend money, feelings, time and effort to one person when he can have them easily and for free in the bars and discos with women who shares same fears as him.  Another co-worker on his 30’s prefer doing it with someone especial because for him, the usual energy is already gone and dealing with different women every hot nights is too much. There are other things to do and think like career, money issues, bills to pay, getting more education, other useful and meaningful trips and travelling. According to him, as time pass by sex is just sex nothing special with it. But when you do it with someone special the hot night is magical and will never wake up the following day feeling used up and not to think the risks of sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies.

Choosing the best option when it comes to this things may depend to the degree of readiness for both men and women. There are certain periods of our life that we prefer just rushing to bed without any feelings but as human we tend to find that familiar warmth and gets addicted to it. I think of it this way, as the number of one night stand doers increases the number of unwanted babies and STD victims increases. This results increase to a number of depressed people who are ready to commit crimes. It is up to the individuals sense of responsibility in their actions.  By thinking about the advantages and disadvantages of the two choices would encourage an individual to choose doing it monogamously with someone special.
