POSSESSING GOOD RELATIONSHIPS

If we want to talk about relationships, I am of the opinion that the first thing to consider is that the root comes from the word ‘relation’. We can break this down to the word ‘relate’. This refers to the connection we have towards things, people, places or even animals. Therefore our object of discussion is to explore on the general meaning of the topic of discussion with a special focus on the matter as it affects young men and women of this current dispensation. Join me!

Relationships vary. It could be a friend-friend relationship, parents-children relationship, husband-wife relationship, teacher-student relationship, etc. In all of these relationships listed-and others- it should be noted that the tie that binds together is LOVE. However, this ingredient is lacking in so many relationships of this nature today and that is why there is a lot of crumbling in relationships. If you are in such a state of a relationship that is about  falling apart, what you lack and need to put is not rancor, railing or raining abuses on the ‘other fellow in the ship’, {because the ship may capsize’}, rather, what you need is love. If you are asking in your heart how you can love this person, let me ask you to keep on reading as we look together at how we can have real, working relationships.

The second thing we are looking at is the rampant case of relationships among youths of today. Some call it courtship; others, boyfriend-girlfriend relationship and some even perceive it as dating. The goal of this article is to inform those who are engaged in immoral relationships of whatever forms that it will not pay off. Why? You ask me. Well, experience and examples and proves this. Note that the basis of these relationships is always lust or some external qualities such as maybe intelligence, exceptional beauty, course of study, wealth, etc. Such things and criteria are short-lived and as soon as they disappear, the existing ’love’ {so they call it} disappears-and most times the young girls suffer most. 

Based on this fact, it is pertinent for young people to base their choices of whom to marry on the qualities, morals and attitudes of a person. Knowing this goes beyond trying to study the person by living with him or her. To know the nature of this person you need a Personality who searches the intents of the hearts of men. I counsel you to consult Him today. Your choice of life-partner must be God-based.

I began to postulate in the earlier part of this article that love is a key to peaceful relationships. To round off, I will prescribe that those who find it difficult to love should consider the Epitome of love. Do you know Him? God is love!
