Practical Love

What is practical love? What are some examples of practical love?
What makes practical love different from romantic love?

Practical love = a love that serves ordinary or material needs.

Often times practical love includes little or no intimacy.  Unless this is one of the ordinary needs in a particular situation.  Relationships that are seemingly based on practical love may have more to them than meets the eye. It is hard to have a relationship that is based on ordinary or material needs.  These relationships can see hardships like romantic relationships.  If expectations are not met in a practical love relationship, it is easier to cut ties.

These may be considered famous examples of practical love:

Anna Nicole Smith’s marriage to Howard Marshall

Micheal Jackson’s marriage to Lisa Marie Presley.

A good point it seems rather calous way of going through life, but I guess if one has the looks then opportunities arise to sell your soul to the devil. I’m not stunngingly good looking or wealthy, so good old fashioned love will do for me. Interesting piece. LB

EM…I voted that I like this, but that is only because of the topic and the introduction…I think you need to spend a bit of time and flesh this one out and provide more detailed information in response to the introductory questions you asked and also explain why the illustrated examples you selected fall into the category of your subject…how does this type of relationship work, what are the pros and cons as opposed to other forms of relationships…like I say you have an interesting topic but you haven’t satisfied the interest and demands of curiousity seekers…thanks…
