Re-Communication on Communication

Communication and universal laws of human interaction.

Okay, now comes the revelation. My good friend and wise philosopher (Alton, if you hadn’t noticed) helped me realize that communication, that is “real” communication as prescribed in the UNIVERSAL LAWS OF HUMAN INTERACTION above, is special. Communication is the very act (verb) of love. (Side note – sex is excellent communication by the way… and it burns calories.)

Here it comes…

We’ve all heard the saying “Love is blind”. I am going to take the educated assumption (because I can’t communicate with the person who actually came up with this saying) that what they were saying is that sins committed by a “lover” towards the “lovee” are disregarded, as the “lovee” turrns a “blind eye” to wrong-doings because of love.

If you love someone, you should allow them to do anything they want without retribution or communication. Blind love. Bullcrap! (excuse me, I sneezed!)

“Things that make you go, hmmmm. ” ~ Arsenio Hall, 1989

My communication:

Human beings who love each other will weave through misconceptions to find the true spirit of emotional dabacles, while trusting that each other’s true intentions are positive through quality communication. Love sees all. ~ Darius Jamison, 2007

Communication takes practice. Just because you don’t get it right the first time does not mean that effective communication is impossible in specific human interactive situations. If you keep trying, you can keep loving. Once silence ensues, the love is gone. Walk away and start another conversation with someone who does not believe that “love is blind”. Blindness when used in conjunction with the word love is ignorance and an excuse to “love” someone without MAKING them love you back. Blindness is also a handicap, so do not prey on the emotionally crippled just because you can see and they can’t, instead forgive them. Continue to love them, but know that those who do not want to be helped cannot be helped. Get them across the street safely out of harm’s way, tell them to have a nice day and move on. Feel the warmth of knowing that you did the right thing. Love cannot be longlasting and mutual if it is blind. Last but not least, love cannot exist without the two-way street of communication. Just remember to look both ways before turning into traffic.

“It takes two to make a thing go right.” ~ Rob Base and DJ Eazy Rock, 1988
