The family is a dying institution, plain and simple. But this is cause for celebration not despair. It means more independence and freedom. It means focusing on the present instead of the past. And it means you have more time for the people you love, the ones you choose. Relationships are a choice not an obligation. So abandon clan-like thinking and everything associated with it. Blood may be thicker than water, but who cares?
