Relationships and The Internet

by K. Norbert in Relationships, November 8, 2009

All over the place people complain that internet is ruining relationships. But is this true?

Almost everyone is complaining that the Internet is ruining relationships , transforms us into robots and so on. But according to Pew Internet they are wrong. Actually people are more sociable than they were 25 years ago.

The scientist from Pennsylvania University confirm this.Internet users , especially who are signed up in social networks (Facebook , Hi5 , etc ) or mobile phone users are more sociable then the people who ignore technology.

What the scientists are trying to show us is that in the end technology is not the main cause of dead relationships. Although relationships with people nearby suffer , scientists see the Internet as a real way of socializing

According to the study, 55% of the people talk serious matters with people on the Internet. For Americans , it appears that the Internet is  the best solution to talk with people who don’t share the same political direction.

Will see if these conclusions are the same in the other parts of the world. So far it is known that social relationships are kept alive by direct verbal communication , cellphones , text messages and the Internet.
