Relationships Need Honesty to Grow

Like anything worth while it takes time to build a solid relationship with another individual. We all have experienced when someone we have trusted turns out to have lied.

Just as a house being built from the ground up a solid beginning or foundation is a must or the house will come tumbling down. A brick house has to have each brick put in place with the right amount of cement holding them together to form one completed house.

Think back to when you have met a possible significant other and they told you something which you took their word for but you didn’t think at that time it was a lie. If one lie is told it is always easier to tell another and another and before you know it, the relationship that you thought was built by love and trust was nothing but a sham and huge mistake.

This is why communication is critical to a powerful relationship in which you both respect each other and KNOW without question that your partner is telling the truth. The number one reason why marriages and couples break up is because one person or in cases both people lied. What do you have in that situation? Pure heart break.

Without question the biggest problem with online dating is trying to meet someone who is not going to lie to us and be who they portray them self to be.

If you have been married and are now separated or divorced, it is a sure bet that the reason is some lie or lies that were told and usually it comes down to a partner being unfaithful but other lies are sometimes responsible for the breakup.

Counselors will point out that if our mother or father lied to each other and children are impressionable at early ages to take this in because they think their parents are their teachers. It will then become easier to lie or on a smaller scale,distort the truth. The children have what they look at as role models and as a result, they may not see it as such a bad thing to do. As they get older not all children will see it that way but enough of them have already taken up where their parents left off.

Keep in mind that it is so much easier on our minds and a lot less stressful to tell the truth and liars all get caught eventually. Many times we will lose the love of our life once they find out we lied.
