Resolving Conflict in Your Relationship
A more spiritual, self diagnostic approach to anger management and disarming emotional time bombs.

Every couple has problems. Every couple has arguments. If your one of the few who doesn’t, you are truly blessed. However, for most of us arguments and problems always seem to find their way into our lives. In this article I want to explain a method I have discovered to work well when things get really rough.
Not all of us are able to keep out tempers and tongues at ease. A lot of small situations excel into much larger, no holes barred brawls. What may start off as a simple disagreement about shopping can turn into all the reasons why you don’t pay enough attention to everything, and how you are this and that.
As I said before, some of us are lucky not to have to deal with this, but for the rest, here is something I’ve concocted in my mind to try. It’s more of an exercise in anger management than anything.
Many of us know that feeling that starts off in our chest, like a dart into a piece of wood. That crack in the dam right before the water breaks through, and everything is flooded. Here is a strange method I personally use, in many situations, to seal up the leaks, before they explode.
If things are getting really bad, and emotions are flying like flaming arrows, I like to go to a solitary place to meditate. I simply will tell my partner time out, and I think things are getting out of hand. If the anger just sits inside your mind and you are unable to shake the feeling due to so much verbal trauma, the best thing to do is relax and remember.
Relaxing is a process. When you take your mental, emotional and physical state from 20 cups of caffeine to herbal tea. Metaphorically speaking. I will retire outside and breath in the air, and try to think of positive things. I close my eyes and feel the nature around me, allowing the peace around me to fill me. This is a practice taught to me through martial arts. You need to visualize the negative energy, like an actual presence inside your body. Placing your palms onto the earth, see the energy as a black energy, leaving your soul and pouring into the earth. When you exhale, see the energy leak from your fingers into the soil. When you inhale, imagine you are taking positive energy in through your fingers, and see it filling you. Relaxed breathing, clear your mind, and see the exchange of negative for positive energy.
