Saved by a Broken Heart

This is only for those who dare to love.

Heartbreak is every lover’s risk.

The pain is deep; almost physical. It’s heartbreak.

You’re heartbroken and the first thing you probably want to do is be with the one that hurt you, say how you feel and try to get things back on track.

Or you just don’t want to talk about it. You’d rather lock yourself away and just mourn.

No matter how terrible you feel, take the time to read this.

Reflect, but Let Go

People pass through our lives for different reasons. Some come into our lives to take away, while others come to give. Appreciate what you have gained from the relationship, count your blessings but let go of what you have already lost.

Regret, but Don’t Hate

It’s all right to have a couple of regrets over a relationship. There are probably things you did, and you wish you hadn’t done, or otherwise.

Forgive yourself and the other person. Leave no room for hatred. DECIDE not to hate that person no matter how guilty you think they are. Pray about it if you have to.

According to a quote by Hazrat Inayat Khan,

“The best thing is not to hate anyone, only to love. That is the only way out of it. As soon as you have forgiven those whom you hate, you have gotten rid of them. Then you have no reason to hate them; you just forget.”

Move on, You Deserve it

This is not easy, it takes time, but it’s worth it.

Do this by looking for distractions. Watch a movie, read a book, take a trip, or do something you haven’t done in a long time. Anything that won’t fan the hurt you feel.

It’s hard to see, but seasons come and go. A time will come when you will feel no more pain. The relationship has ended because it wasn’t meant to be. Keep the lessons but let go of the person.

Remember that finding true love is just like forging a diamond. There’s a lot of heat and pressure needed to forge a diamond but it comes out shinier and brighter than ever.

Choose to Be the Diamond that Was Lost

And maybe when you find someone more suited to you, you’ll believe that you were saved by a broken heart.
