Secrets of Happy Couples
Secrets that can improve your relationships with the loved ones.
Get a Break
Neither of you are perfect, nor are the oddities you both have are here to stay. So instead of letting those annoying character work your last guts, try to get in touch with the outside of those particular flaws, even if it’s not immediately recognizable. Instead of getting annoyed when he starts screaming at the TV, for example, remind yourself how much you love his passion. If his bashfulness with new people annoys you, think about how invigorating it is to be with a chill, real guy rather than a man who needs to chat with everyone in the room.
Stand by Him
You might not have the same opinion with your guy when he’s had a riff with a friend or he thinks his boss is being unfair, but you should always be on his side and vice versa. If not, you’ll both feel like you can’t trust on each other. That doesn’t mean you have to take the “you’re so right” route all the time. Just listen to him, and let him know that you’ll give support to him no matter what.
Spend Some Money on Each Other
Try to get into the habit of exchanging sweet tokens of appreciation for no particular reason. Don’t go and puff your paycheck though. It’s not about being profligate; it’s just a way of showing that you really get — and think about — each other. Perhaps you buy him a T-shirt of his favorite band that you have seen on sale or he gets you a pair of nightgown in your favorite color. You don’t have to wait for a particular occasion to give little presents to show your love. In fact, gifts are more fun and meaningful when they’re not something expected.
Be Good During the Date
Let’s all face it; no one can stay charming forever. After being together for a while, the previous early excitement become paler, and your man can start to get kind of tedious sometimes. Hey, don’t think you’re not loved anymore. If you’re feeling a little bad about him, the feeling is likely something you both have. To overcome this, take turns to come up with an appealing date idea in maybe every month or day. Keep the ideas to yourself, and try to think outside the box. Perhaps you want to have dinner or a movie? If is not interesting enough, an amazing concert or a snowboarding lesson might be better ideas.
