Sex with Ex

by BrandonGates in Relationships, July 2, 2009

Is it a mistake? Will sex with ex make you even more miserable or is it just a good fun? Either way you put it, the point is that no one wants to get hurt. Here are some tips that will help you decide what to do and how to do.

Watching reruns of Oprah can be boring just as much as it was watching it for the first time; especially if you have the desire for good sex. Your sexy neighbor is out of the question. You don’t want to have casual sex with someone you see every day. So, you pick up your cell phone and you dial your ex.

This is no surprise. Many people do this. Sex with ex is like a forbidden fruit, sweet, juicy, but you don’t want anyone to find out you had it.

But do you tell your ex that you want sex right away. No! You are inviting him or her on a friendly drink. There are two reasons for this strategy. First, you don’t want him or her to think that you are desperate; and second reason is that maybe your ex has gained weight and you might change your mind about having sex once you see him or her.

Okay, now that you made the call, get ready for the next step. Remove all memories of your ex from the flat. Photo frames, cute little stuffed animals, and unused condoms. This way, you are making a clear message, “Sex does not mean us getting back together.”

Now you are ready; and the best part is that you two already know all about one another. So, there is little chance that sex is going to be bad.

Now you feel great. Suddenly even Oprah is not that boring with her make-believe stories about “rainbow parties” and sexual harassment amongst two four year olds. Just say to yourself, “They were just playing, Oprah! Leave the kids alone! Two four year olds playing mommy and daddy is not sexual harassment!”

And that was what you and your ex were doing. You had some “mommy and daddy” action, that is, you had sex with ex. So, welcome to the club.

Was it good? It sure was! Sex with ex can be great! You were not shy a bit, you felt like you are with a totally different person, and you knew that you are not risking your health with getting some sexually transmitted disease. There is a slight possibility that your ex has sex with someone else, but you are sure that your ex could never go over you so quickly. After all, you know just how much you are good.

Is there a down side of having sex with ex? There sure is. But no one wants to spoil the fun. Let’s leave it this way.

Enjoy your sex with ex!

Let us please discuss this topic civily without name calling. This topic can be discussed and better understood this way.

In terms of scripture and what it has to say about divorce and remarriage, here are some passages I found.

Matthew 5:32 (King James Version) But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Matthew 19:3-9 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? 4And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 7They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? 8He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 9And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Romans 7:1-3 (King James Version) 1Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

In short….the scriptures above strongly discourage any form of termination of a marriage. Save for on the grounds of fornication, infidelity, or as some would call it…unfaithfulness. Does this necessarily mean that all out there who are married to an unfaithful spouse should leave them? No…not necessarily. For even in the OT God commanded Hosea to remain married to his wife who frequently commited acts of fornication.

Remarriage….the only scripture seen that I know of…though I could be wrong…states that if one’s spouse is still alive and goes an marries another that they are commiting adultery.

Though I have seen one or two mention how this applies or applied solely to the male gender, I am inclined to disagree. For if we as believers are to follow after Christ…..male and female…..we should try to live as He taught us.

I apologize for any offense caused. None was meant.

    May God Bless You

From the page:”This is no surprise. Many people do this. Sex with ex is like a forbidden fruit, sweet, juicy, but you don’t want anyone to find out you had it.”

If it is forbidden, what for we do that? And sweet, juicy, … of what? That’s only will hurt the people who are involved.

@Christian, King James Bible had been translated weakly and had changed from time to time.

Bible doesn’t have any original language anymore because it is translated without the real first language from Isa SAW and his students.
