Six Ways to Fix a Relationship That is on The Rocks
Here are six great ways you can fix a relationship that is on shaky ground.
1. Try and talk to your spouse and communicate with them as best you can. Even if it results in a full blown argument, it is better to talk than to not.
2. Don’t resort to any name calling and try and be as respectful as you can to your spouse avoiding slanging matches and cheap shots, by sticking as close to the issue at hand as you can.
3. Be an attentive listener to your spouse as you can, by cutting out all distractions and giving them your full attention. Watch their reactions and body language and try and be as empathetic as you can.
4. Try and resolve the argument before you go to bed, or at least call a truce before you go to bed. Sometimes you can get a better perspective when you are less tired in the morning.
5. If you want to fix a relationship, it starts with you. What can you change about yourself and the way you do things in your relationship that will make things better between you and your spouse?
6. When you have identified what ways you need to change, put it into action and demonstrate the new you to your partner. Create ways of showing love and appreciation to your partner on a daily basis.
