Summer Flings

I am wondering if a summer fling is something I could do. Here are some of the pros and cons and the story! Hopefully someone can relate and has had a similar experience, then maybe you can help out. :)

Ok, so I would like to discuss the pros and cons for my situation! Lol Hopefully someone really nice and helpful will take the time to read this and help me out with some wonderful advice!  It would be much appreciated!J…I don’t see myself as someone who doesn’t want a relationship anytime soon and in fact I have wanted a relationship for quite some time now.  The problem is that I like a guy I am in university with and I am starting to like someone else from my hometown. I am home for summer vacation until September and the guy I really like at school lives far away. I won’t see him all summer. I liked him so much and still do the whole school year and we have been involved sexually on numerous occasions. I let him know that I wanted a relationship when we were at school; however he didn’t want a relationship at the time. We had this talk a week before final exams, so it would have had to become a long-distance relationship if we started anything right then.

This guy liked a girl from his hometown as well, while we were in school, yet he told me repeatedly that he had feelings for me. He told me that he liked this girl at the first of the school year when we first became friends and also told me his plan to not have a relationship during school because he was waiting for her. Then after he told me he liked me months later, I thought she was out of the picture because he said that if he does develop feelings for someone else during the school year, she would understand!  I thought we were going to get into a relationship, but that is a whole different story and I have learned my lesson (Never let sex come before the relationship title if you’re a girl like me who doesn’t want hook-ups!).

Anyways this guy from school doesn’t even talk to the girl he had feelings for now that he is home and she was the reason he didn’t want a relationship all throughout school. They were going to wait to be together after they both finished their education, years later. She has moved on…I saw that coming! She was the one who told him that he could do what he wanted and she’d be with and do what she wanted while he was away at school, so I knew she couldn’t have liked him very much! I could never do that if I truly liked someone. I wouldn’t think of being with anyone else at the same time, but supposedly they never considered themselves to be attached or “in a relationship”.  They both planned to just “hook up” with whoever they wanted, which sounds horrible in my opinion.
