Symptoms of Being in Love
How do you know the symptoms if you’re really in love or simply infatuation? Here’s my take on how a youngster feels–warning: quite a cheesy poem made during my teen years.
Lately, I’ve been suffering
from a palpitating heartbeat-
due-to-love syndrome.
And I’m certain you make my head spin
You became my institution.
You caught me once throwing furtive glances at you
I nearly fainted by your presence
I’m bedazzled by confusion
I almost lost my composure
Funny as it may sound,
But you’re the reason
Why I can hardly breathe
Can’t get over this unrequited love sitch…
Amidst the syllogisms and equations
You simply invade my mind
Even more intense than a splitting headache
More hard-hitting than a persistent toothache.
Perhaps you’re the only medicine.
Please cure me from this mysterious malady
Just save me and hurry,
