Tangled Hearts
We all search and hope to find the one that we have in mind. Where our eyes meet from across that crowded room. Your heart does these little somersaults, your pulse race and your hands sweat. Did he or she look at me? Are they interested? What did they think? The thoughts run rampant through our minds.
You would think that as time passes and we grow past the teenager stage that things would be easier and we’d know the ropes of dating or at least getting noticed. The fact is it actually gets harder. Oh we think its easy but the bars of the scale has risen. Yep you read it right! We become pickier or the opposite sexes has. As we get older we see just what we want and hold out for that Ms perfect or Mr Right. While all the time its not about being perfect, but to know someone, fall in love and love them perfectly.
In this time of high divorce rate we need to slow down and get to know someone before jumping back in to the fire. This complicates things when we are out “hunting” for that perfect person to fill the emptiness in our lives. We either get anxious and move to fast or not at all. Some of us still carry hurt from past relationship and end up bringing that into a new relationship. Tangled hearts is what I call it. We have all been hurt before, some more then others but its a part of growing up. Fact is it’s actually a good thing. If we never experinced this hurt or let down, we’d never know who we really want in life or how to handle another person. We all need certain experiences to gain the knowledge we need in a lasting relationship. unfortunately these hurtful things help us grow and become better inside if we but let it.
Oh the other hand if you are incredibly lucky you won’t be one that has gone through heart break after heart break. Take note, doesnt matter how old you are or how many times you’ve been hurt or knocked down. Theres always going to be someone out there that makes your heart skip a beat. That person your eyes linger on. You can be eighteen or eigthy, love is love and it is the most powerfulist thing there is in the universe.
