There are number of challenges a single parent faces when trying to date. As a single parent tries to find enough time for themselves after working all day and spending enough quality time with their child then they have the hard task of finding a person to date. Then they have to find time to date.

If the single parent is actually able to balance time between work and child then the next task is to figure out a way to meet other people. Maybe you can figure out a day of the week to go out with your single friends. You can meet someone easier when hanging out with other single people. Another way of meeting someone is to join a club that meets once a week such as a bowling league or joining a tennis or golf club. This will enhance your chances of meeting those who have their life together as well as interested in meeting new people.

One of the challenges you may face is finding a babysitter. See if your parents or grandparents will watch your child for a couple of hours. If not, see if a married friend will watch your child or you may have to hire a babysitter. Having someone consistent will help your situation since you will want to go out at least once a week.

Once you find someone to date that you are interested in and feel as though they will be around for a long time then introduce them to your child. Having dates with your child will help progress your relationship. Eventually, you will know for sure if this is the person you will want to marry. Introducing your child to the person you are dating is a serious step to take so be sure this is someone you are truly interested in. Otherwise, you could hurt your child pretty badly along with yourself if the relationship doesn’t work after a short time of the introduction to your kid.

Men tend to have it a little easier when it comes to being able to meet someone when they have a child. This is because they can meet any woman in the grocery store or in the mall since women tend to talk to men that have cute kids. They are enchanted with the idea that a man is spending time with their child. It is a turn on for women. Therefore, a single male parent will have an easier chance of meeting single women than a single female parent.
