What happens when the person you thought loved you more than life, suddenly tells you I love you but I am not in love with you? I think we should move and on and explore new opportunities. This is usually the code for I am already in a new relationship and I do not want you anymore. At first you are stunned, hurt, and amazed. Just last night your lover stated how much in love the two of you were. Your feelings come over you like a castrophic tornado. All the pipe dreams of broken promises are revealed as one realizes that the dream of forever love is no more.
Instead of giving your ex the satisfaction of feeling relieved, here are some helpful tips to help heal your bruised and broken heart. First of all, ask the other person why. No matter how devastated you are, let them see how hurt or confused you feel. It may show weakness, but in the end your heart will thank you for it. You will come out victorious.
- First, pray that all feelings of love, shame, or guilt be severed.
- Take time out for self reflection and relearn to love yourself.
- The old friends you ditch your love for, if they let you try to reconnect with them.
- Keep yourself busy by taking up a hobby, or pursue a new goal.
- Put yourself in social networking web sites, and surround yourself around positive people.
- Reconnect yourself with physical activity.( walking, gym, swimming)
- Before you know it your heart will heal and you will move on and go venture back into the dating scene with a clean slate and no inner demons or unresolved issues…
