The Real World of Dating

I can remember how easy it was thirty years ago to go out on a date and have a great time.  In order to have a fun date in today’s world, you really have to go out of your way.  With the divorce rate around 60 percent there are a lot more people dating today than there ever was.  When you meet a person over 21 who is not going with someone, there has to be a reason.  I know a lot of young people are thinking more about their jobs than they did a few years ago, so that alone will change your dating habits.  We have to put more thought into our ideas about who we really want to be around us more.  The idea of just going with someone just to look good is becoming  a thing of the past.  When you have to pay more just to impress your friends, you are not really having fun on the date.

When you see someone you think you need to be dating, take the extra time to learn something about them.  You have to remember that person you pick will be part of your personal life.  The longer you date someone that you really don’t want to date, they will learn more things know about you.  If you have a bad breakup with your mate, they will  always tell the things that could hurt you when trying to meet someone new.  If you are thinking about finding a new mate, do not breakup while having a fight with the person you are dating now.  If you take the time to sit down and talk about why you must stop dating, most of the time you will remain friends with that person.  There is nothing worst than trying to meet someone new with your old mate at the same place.  

We see people every day who are dating friends of ours that we would like to date.  If you really want to have problems trying to meet someone new, ask your friends mate for a date.  I have seen that happen a lot of times and it will never work.  That is something that people you may want to date will hold against you for a long time.  If you do that you will also loose a lot of friends.  In some cases you will find you must find go to other places just to meet new people.  If your friend decides to breakup with a person you have been wanting to date, do not ask them for a date until you are sure you friend does not want them any more.  Most of the time this will take about a month. If you friend starts going with someone else, you still have to make sure it is alright.

We already know what the people you dated before did not like about you, so this is something you may need to change.  If this reason has caused you to breakup more than once, you will need to chance your life style.  Everyone knows that you should never try to change the person you are dating.  People trying to change their new mates has caused most of their dating not to work.  It may take extra time trying to date someone you like, most of the time it is worth it.  If the person likes your life style you are wanting to date, they will ask other people about you.  Your friends will tell you when someone asks about you.  If your group of friends aren’t talking about who is dating who, you may need to find a new group of friends.
