The Secrets to Successful Flirting

Looking back at the growing years it seems that somehow flirting was something that I could never come to grips with. Some of the guys seemed to have all the luck with the best looking girls around and their air of confidence used to make me bury my face in shame. Even when a girl used to make a move the tongue seemed to be suddenly tied up in knots, the heart used to beat like a runaway train and beads of sweat used to roll off the back of my  neck.

That was then and this is now. Life sure is a great teacher and the art of flirting is a part of the curriculum as well. Let me share a few of them with you – a little harmless flirting will do no one any harm and that’s for sure.

One of the first things I learnt was that you do not need to be good looking at all to be able to successfully flirt. Ah, the time I spent on bettering my looks and the money I spent on my clothes – what a waste.  It is definitely not a natural instinct for boys to be flirtatious while the fear of rejection sure is. Well, if you do not want to sit and brood over a lost opportunity then kick your fear in the arse and walk up to the girl you fancy.

·         Flirting is nothing but some harmless and playful teasing and it works best when the girl knows that you are attracted to her and she to you.

·         Remember also that it is not always only about what you say, it is also about how you say it that matters.

·         Normally, it is important you look into her eyes when she talks to you – which I hope she will and it is fine to look away at times when you talk to her. Too much of eye contact will amount to staring which can be unnerving at times.

·         If the teasing gets offensive you may end up all red in the face so accompany the pulling of legs with a reassurance that you were kidding while in fact you think that she is great girl.

·         Suddenly, after a tease and reassurance get all honest and ask her about herself – she will find the change of mood refreshing and you do want to get to know her – don’t you ?

·         Girls are always comfortable around a person who smiles a lot, even a mischievous one at times. It puts them at ease and it is a well known fact that if you manage to make a girl laugh you will be walking the beach together on every weekend.
