The Teenage Male Viewpoint
Ever wondered about the views many teen boys share?
As a teenage boy, I have all the inside information on the thought process me and my “fellows” share. The idea for me to write this comes from my mom, who thinks teenage boys are impossible to understand, having two of them herself. Anyway, I feel everyone and everyone needs to know the male thought process, so without further ado, let’s get down to business!
- First thing is first, guys will ALWAYS enjoy scatological humor. (Poop jokes, farting, ect.)
- Secondly, no matter who the guy is, no matter how nice he seems, girls, ALL guys are motivated by sexual impulses. I know I am!
- Thirdly, as one of the rare few boys who don’t enjoy watching sports, I have realized that guys will love sports no matter how you argue it. I mean, I love them, if I’M playing them!
- Lastly, ladies if a guy is a jerk to you, he either wants your attention, or wants to hurt you for not giving it to him (or he may just hate you, but that’s unlikely)
As the younger brother, and frankly, the more sensible of the two, I can honestly say I think guys are pretty primitive. The more I watch our behavior, the more I think I’m watching the Animal Planet. I know guys will think I’m a betrayer for saying so, but I think girls think a lot more than we do. As the song says, “girls just want to have fun!” they also think before they have fun. As guys, not so much thinking goes on.
Although we get into trouble sometimes, although we get hurt sometimes, although we make stupid choices more often, I love being a dude, and that is the ultimate viewpoint boys share. We boys watch our dads and brothers and uncles and grandpas drink beer, smoke, watch sports, and think they are just the best there is. So all those girls who think boys and men are just jerks, that won’t change until our fathers and their fathers do. That, my friends, won’t be for a long time!
