The Total Package

What do we think when we get married?  Most of us think about the Total Package.  I see more and more that people don’t exactly know what that is.  I have been married now for 19 years and I have been blessed with what I would consider the total package.  I know that in my eyes that consists of having someone there beside me no matter what.  I will not say that having someone there no matter what will give you peace.  That person doesn’t always agree with you and may even scream and yell, but they stay and give you some kind of support.  I also know that being the total package hasn’t been easy.  I mean I must be his total package also as he is still there.   I have seen so many people pick their mate for totally ridiculous reasons and then wonder why they would do the things they do to them or say some the ugly things they say to them.   Could this be because the outside shell of the total package was cracked or damaged in some way.  I really think that the box was broken before the package was bought.  If we could stand back and watch ourselves sometimes we would wonder how anyone could stand us.  I know that sounds ridiculous but  I know we all have traits that are less desirable especially if someone knows them.  Fact of the matter is when we get married the poor person that married us doesn’t always know who we are until about 7-8 years down the road.  They either high tail it or they stay.  If they stay I would guess you have totally found the total package.   Praise God for those that have.
