Things Men Do That are Simply Irritating

We hear hundreds of men and read dozens of article say that women are complicated human beings while men are simple ones. True. But they failed to mention that men can sometimes be the most insensitive beings on Earth! Here, I list down some of the things that are simply irritating to us women – either because it makes us feel you don’t care for us or don’t value us that much or simply because it fell short of what we expected of you.

1. Men forget birthdays and anniversaries. Is there a need to elaborate? The fact that you forget these special occasions makes us think twice about dating you, especially if we’re exclusively dating. It’s a no-no to forget the date that we first became a couple and even the date of our parents’ birthdays! Yes, we know that you guys have a hard time remembering dates, but can you please write it down or save it in your mobile’s calendar so you won’t forget? Hot Tip: Set the alarm to go off a week before the occasion itself so you’ll have time to buy a gift, get a card/flowers or just simply let her know you are looking forward to the occasion!

2. Men don’t plan. We do appreciate it when it appears to us that you have plans. Like on an anniversary date, yes it’s sweet of you to ask us what we want to do and where we want to go. But sometimes the element of surprise and knowing you planned for our special day makes us fall for you more. A definite plan for the day shouts “I gave this a thought and wanted this to become special…” That, to us girls, are a big deal! Hot Tip: Don’t overdo things by acting disappointed when things don’t go as you planned. A bit of spontaneity is also welcome. Just make sure when we ask you what your plans are, you have a place for dinner/lunch to speak of.

3. Men can be a bunch of eight-year-olds when they’re together. Okay, this isn’t downright irritating. It’s even funny when I see my man laughing out loud with his friends making fun of each other. But throwing popcorn at each other while in the movie houe or running around in the department store isn’t cute. Period. Hot Tip: I think that what irritates women is the thought that you enjoy your friends’ company more than hers. To avoid any argument over this, don’t leave her out when you’re with your best buddies. Make her feel that her presence is appreciated. This doesn’t mean you have to sit and talk with her all night, though. Have fun with your friends but talk with her once in a while, too, especially if it’s your set of friends the two of you are with.

Dating women may be enjoyable, but keeping us is difficult. What most men fail to realize is that you have to court us forever to keep us. This translates to making us feel special, appreciated, remembered and valued. Sounds hard? Don’t worry, we’ll compensate you more than enough. Trust us! =)
