Top Nine Things Which Help with a Long Distance Relationship
A short list of things that will help deal with a long distance relationship.
Long distance relationships are always hard. Don’t be fooled into thinking anyone can do it. They can be costly emotionally as well as money-wise. They drain you. But if your partner is worth it, give it a go. Don’t give up too early, there are rewards as well as downsides. Such as the time you are together is even more special. I’m speaking from personal experience, as I have a girlfriend that I’ve been with for 18 Months, living in different countries.
- Make sure you talk everyday. Try and talk for at least 30 minutes when you do talk, so that your partner doesn’t feel like you’re avoiding them so much.
- Emails are good. They can help your partner feel less stressed, or miss you less. Writing a love letter, but in the form of a email is always a good idea.
- When you are together, try not to fight, and make good use of the time you have.
- Take pictures/videos of the time you are together, and then talk about the things you loved with your partner. They will help you remember the good times
- Phone calls are everything. Try and have one for at least a hour as much as possible, hearing your patner’s voice feels really good.
- Be cute! If life has given you hard a time that day, try not to take it out on your partner.
- Be completely honest with your boyfriend/girlfriend, tell them exactly what you’re gonna do and who you’re gonna be with. Lying only makes things hurt, even if it’s a little lie, or keeping a little secret.
- Don’t think you’re alone. The other person is going exactly through what you are.
- Love, love, love is always a good thing, and being apart only makes it grow stronger each time you see each other.
