Top Tips That Your Partner is Cheating on You
Would you be able to tell if your husband was cheating on you? Some women say they had a gut feeling, others that it took them by surprise. It is always painful and it isn’t always as easy as finding lipstick on his collar. If it is something you suspect or you worry about, here are a few things to look out for.
- Toothpaste, soap and shampoo. Yes I know it sounds strange but if your man suddenly changes his brand of toothpaste, soap and shampoo it could be more than he just fancies a change. Most men will shower after having sex with another woman and the more savvy ones will use the same ones at home.
- The Internet. If he is spending a lot of time on line, especially late at night, or if he suddenly closes down windows when you walk in, you may be right in becoming suspicious.
- Mobile phone. Modern technology is wonderful, but it can also be damming evidence. Unnamed phone numbers on his mobile phone could give a warning, or if hates you touching his phone, he may well be hiding something.
- Gifts and flowers. It is a cliché but if flowers and gifts suddenly start appearing when he has never done so before, ask the question. Personally I would be especially wary of those flowers bought at the petrol/gas station. “I saw these and thought of you,” is NOT a good sign.
- Sex drive. Changes in his sex drive. This can go either of two ways; he becomes more attentive as if that will compensate or because the excitement of the affair has renewed his interest in sex. On the other hand he may want less sex because he is getting all he needs elsewhere.
- Behavioural changes. Again this can go two ways. Some men become more attentive, telling their spouse how much they mean to them and so on. Others become belligerent, as if they resent time spent away from their mistress, or are feeling guilty about it.
- Scents. Men don’t seem to notice that perfume clings to clothes. It is doubtful sharing an elevator or an office with a woman will transfer their perfume to his shirt.
- Credit cards. Look out for unexpected charges on credit cards. Items bought might include hotel rooms, travel, jewellery and gifts.
- Underwear – his. If he suddenly starts buying new underwear, pay attention, especially if you are the one who usually does his buying for him.
- Work patterns. Changes in work patterns like working late or weekend business trips should ring alarm bells especially when their salary does not alter.
