Wilson, according to published reports in the Huffington Posttoday, is now romantically linked to New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez. But where one couple comes together, another romance falls apart.

On Thursday, comedian Russell Brand filed for divorce from rocker Katy Perry in what amounts to one of the most shocking and unexpected relationship developments of 2011.

After all, just two short weeks ago, Russell Brand appeared on “Ellen” to discount divorce rumors, claiming: “I’m really happily married … I’m married to Katy. Perpetually, until death do us part was the pledge. I’m still alive.”
